God’s ultimate goal is for each one of us to be transformed by the renewing of our mind.

This is accomplished when we renew our minds. God wants to sanctify us and transform us into the express image of His Son Jesus Christ. This is His ultimate goal for us

1. What Does It Mean To Renew Your Mind?

To renew your mind means to change the focus of your mind in the way God wants it. Romans 12:2 carefully gives more insight on renewing your mind. ‘be renewed in the spirit of your mind’ To be a shining light in this world, you can’t think or live like the people of the world. You must be a positive influence on everyone that crosses your path. You do this by demonstrating Christ-like character and a living, good example.

3. The Process of Renewing Your Mind

3.1) Knowledge of The Word of God

1 Peter 2: 2 ” As new born babes, desire the sincere milk of the Word, that ye may grow thereby”.

The first and most important thing is the Word. Knowledge of the word of God is the foundation for renewing your mind. Through this knowledge each Christian will know exactly what it is that God wants to change about us. To succeed or do anything meaningful in life you must make double sure that your heart is filled with God’s word.

You can only renew your mind through the word of God. Because the word of God is so powerful. When you feed on the word you will proof the good, acceptable and perfect will of God.

Isaiah 55:8 – God’s word will not return void but perform at all times.

Jeremiah 1:12 – God watches over His word to perform it.

Isaiah 40:8 ‘The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever’.

3.2) The Power of Your Thoughts

Your thinking faculty is very critical when it comes to the renewing of your mind. There is power in the word of God to turn our lives around. To make us what God wants us to be. This Word of God has the power to make you all God created you to be.

What you think on most of the time will eventually be the result you will come out with. But when your thoughts is filled with Gods words even your prayers will get answered easily. To pray and receive miracles from God the word must be firmly rooted in you for the miracle to feed upon.

3.3) Help of The Holy Spirit

The holy spirit plays a crucial role in the renewing of your mind. ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty – Nehemiah 4:6b

In the three step process mentioned above that will get this transformation process going for you – the first two steps is a do-it-yourself. God will now help you out through His Holy Spirit that lives within you.

4. Importance of Studying The Word

The study of God’s word is fundamental for your faith to grow. The more you feed on the word of God the more renewed your mind will be. The word of God is like the GPS that leads us to the will of God and His purpose for our lives. Until we choose to plant that word in our heart the harvest of transformation of our hearts cannot come.

Good success comes as you meditate in the word and this gives you understanding. Joshua 1:8 and Psalm 119:105

4.1) The Power of Right Thinking

King David tells us in the Old Testament that we are to meditate on the Word of God. Proverbs chapter 23, verse 7: “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he”. … For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee. Right thinking means to think and meditate on what God said instead of what the world says or how they view things.

5. Uphold Positive Qualities Over Negative

There are positive and negative qualities in our lives. Your qualities in life is an important pathway towards renewing your mind. This is where many Christians are missing it. Your quality of life determines the quality of decisions you make.

What are your essential life qualities?

  • Do you lie frequently,
  • Are you quick to obey God’s word?
  • Do you believe the promises of God?
  • Do you reference the things of God?

These are little foxes that spoil the vine according to Song of Solomon 2:15

5.1) Power of Right Thinking

One great quality of a faith filled life is the way you think. Right thinking always lead you to right destinations. You must have certain things you don’t allow to enter into your thought life because they will eventually play out in the results you achieve in life.

5.2) Be Really Intentional About Your Actions

Now here is where your part will really come into play. Say someone has just cut you off in traffic. Your bad temper has now been fully triggered like it does every time someone cuts you off in traffic.

But all of a sudden you now remember what the word of God says to show love and forgive; you will certainly act differently than you would have previously done. You are been transformed by the renewing your mind. Let the word of God heal you and set you free from hurts

5.3) Maintain The Good Quality of Self Control

Self-control is one of the qualities that God wants to impart and work into your personality. You will see this positive quality mentioned numerous times in the verses to follow in these other articles.

5.4) Positive Qualities Improve Your Personality

The same approach goes for trying to incorporate positive qualities into your personality. The Bible tells us that God wants us to be loving, kind, generous, and gentle people.

What God wants you to do anyway is to try and “put on” some of these positive and godly qualities.

5.5) Renew Your Mind Day By Day

Each one of us only has a certain amount of mental and emotional strength in our own personal makeups. To renew your mind, it is a wise thing to take day by day steps. This can be in the form of reading verses of the scripture every waking hour of the day.

5.6) Spend More Time In The Word

One of the most potent ways for your faith to get stronger in God is through the word! What does it mean to spend more time in the word? It means to get your bible and read, study, ponder, meditate until you receive a revelation from God. It is also referred to as a way to fellowship with God. You may have to engage some helpful bible study tools to do this.

6. Engaging The Power of The Holy Spirit

To renew your mind requires great assistance from the Holy Spirit. God said without me ye can do nothing!

Holy Spirit lives on the inside of each believer is a power source from where everything evolves. Many Christians already know this. The Holy Spirit is our standby help.

John 14:26 But the Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name [in My place, to represent Me and act on My behalf], He will teach you all things. And He will help you remember everything that I have told you

Look at some frequently asked questions about the Holy Spirit:

  1. Where is the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit is inside every child of God. He helps you to renew your mind by giving you understanding of the word of God that you study. He does this through the inward witness.

  2. How come He is not removing some of my negative qualities?

You have a responsibility to take action on your quality of life. It is not the fault of God how you become in life. He has already made all provisions for your good life (Ephesians 2:10) but He will not force you to do what you don’t what to do.

  3. How come I am still crabby, miserable, and depressed all of the time?

You are what you are because you have not fully allowed the transformation power of renewing your mind to take charge in your life.

6.1) Take Responsibility

And these will be His divine qualities and attributes being imparted into you – not yours! You only have a certain amount of love within your own natural personality to give and to express to others.

6.2) God Is Love

His love, joy, and peace will now be replacing those negative emotions. You cannot be depressed and unhappy if the love and joy of God is operating in your personal

This is not to say we will never get crabby, irritable, or down at times. We all live in a fallen and cursed world and we are

6.3) There is No Other Way

There is no other way! Nothing else in this life will give us peace and happiness. After you get saved, God expects you to grow, develop, and mature in your walk with Him.

The Bible tells us that with the measure we use, will be the measure measured back to us.

The one thing we all have to realize is that every single one of us is flawed to some degree. We all have our character flaws and rough edges. No exceptions.

This sanctification process is not done overnight. This is a process that will occur over the rest of your earthly life.

6.4) You Have a Reward

Your reward for allowing God to do this type of inner sanctifying work in your life are many.

You will find true inner peace, happiness, and fulfillment.

Many nonbelievers have stated that what drew them to certain Christians and got them saved was the peace, joy, and love that seemed to be operating through their personalities.

through Jesus, and disciple many other believers into a deeper walk with the Lord.

This sanctification process is available to all believers. God wants to do this with every single one of us. The problem is that many of God’s people are not willing to do their part of the process.

6.5) Take Action

If you decide you really want God to start this sanctification process within you then take action.

After reading through this entire article, please also check the scripture verses on renewing your mind – then all you have to do is go to God in prayer and tell Him that you’re willing and obedient and ready to be transformed by the renewing of your mind.

This way, He has a full solid green light from you to start this process.

7. Seven Benefits of Renewing Your Mind

7 benefits of renewing your mind

7.1) Deeper Understanding

Renewing the mind is a deliberate action. One of the foremost benefits of renewing your mind is deeper understanding of divine mysteries.

scriptures is that they help you to see and understand things on a higher level. You will go deeper in your love with the Lord and soar higher in your relationship with Him.

According to Matthew 13:19 you are vulnerable to the enemy if you hear the Word and don’t strive to receive understanding.

7.2) Self Identity

You know who you are. Not what the devil says you are. The knowledge of your self identity can keep strong and make you develop a strong faith in your God and having access to the blessings God has promised you.

1 Peter 2:9 – ‘But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light

7.3) Refuse To Accept Defeat

Renewing your mind makes you stand your ground against defeat and the lies of the enemy. You have authority over the enemy at all times. To renew your mind you must refuse to accept defeat and accept the fact that you’re a winner!

Check this out:

Now thanks be unto God, which always causeth us to triumph in Christ, and maketh manifest the savour of his knowledge by us in every place – 2 Corinthinas’ 2:14

‘For everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith’ – 1 John 5:4

7.4) No More Fear and Poverty

You have now renewed your mind to know what the word of God says about the implication of fear. ‘There is no fear in love; For God hath not given us the spirit of fear 2 Timothy 1:7. Renewing your mind gives you victory over the lie of the enemy.

You refuse to live in poverty and lack. You see, God takes pleasure in the prosperity of His servants – Psalm 35:27. A genuine child of God should never be broke any more day. Remember, it is the truth that you know that can set you free. This freedom comes from renewing your mind. Renewing your mind to your covenant right to wealth is a key to your breakthrough in this area.

7.5) Healing Is For You

Healing is your covenant right as a believer. But you can only know this when your mind is renewed through the word of God. Meditating on scriptures about God’s promises of healing will give you the faith to overcome sickness and disease, and to walk in divine health. Yes! It is possible.

1 Peter 2:24, KJV: “Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.” … By his wounds you are healed.”

7.6) Stand Your Ground Against The Enemy

You refuse the burdens the enemy tries to put on you. Jesus has removed all burdens, refuse to be weighed down by them. Renewing your mind and meditating on the scriptures will give you access to victorious living. Luke 10:19 ‘Behold I give unto you power to thread upon serpents and scorpions and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

Dare to believe God’s Word and experience change in your spirit. Time and time again,

God has proven that renewing your mind is the pathway to success in every area of life. Embrace a new way of thinking that may be outside your comfort zone. Allow Him to prove His power in your life and family. Your life will never be the same.

7.7) You’ll Be Able To Fulfill The Will of God

There is nothing more joyful in this life than to know, follow and fulfill the will of God. The easiest way to be able to do this is simply by the renewing of your mind with the word of God.

Romans 12:2, KJV: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Out of all the benefits of renewing your mind, this stands alone as the best. The good, acceptable and perfect will of God is what you want to pursue. When you are living in the center of the will of God; you’re in the best place, where there is provision, peace, love, joy and every good things life can offer.

The best thing you can ever do in life is to renew your mind. All the best of life comes to you as you commit the word of life to heart and it bears fruit for you to harvest.

If you have not given your life to Jesus, this is a wonderful opportunity to start all over again. You will start a brand new journey of renewing your mind from now on. Please say this short prayer:

Lord Jesus I come to you just as I am. I confess my sins and ask that you please forgive me. I confess you as my Lord and saviour. Write my name in the book of life, I will serve you forever and ever.

Thank you Lord for saving me. Amen!

Fear: Expectation Vs Reality of God’s Word

Fear; this should have nothing to do with you. As a child of the Most High God, you have nothing to fear! No matter how challenging the circumstance or how large and terrible the obstacle may be, you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you – Philippians 3:13

When you feel uncertain or afraid, you can take a step of faith, determine to develop strong faith to fight fear in its entirety. You know that God is in control. People don’t have the final say, only God has the final say and He says that you are an overcomer! Don’t fear anything.

Are You Living in Fear?

So, you are afraid. We all do from time to time as we journey through life and are confronted with one challenge or the other. Of course we we are in this world but not of this world but fear should not rule you. When fear comes, we should not take it or react the way things come. Someone said 20% is what happens to you but 80% is what you make of it. This means that it is not what happens or what has happened that matters but the way you react that is very important.

In this study, we want to go on a deep learning journey. This will shed more light on what fear is, your expectations in life, the reality of God’s word to rule over fear and how your faith links in between the three to bring about Godly results.

What is Fear?

  • Fear is an unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat. Fear is a human emotion that is triggered by a perceived threat
  • In 1 John 4:18 the bible says fear is that which brings torment.
  • Fear works against your faith in God

Everyone experiences fear in their life. There are big fears we are very aware of and little ones we may not even realize we have. I’ve learned that it’s very important to understand what fear is and how it works against us because if we don’t, it can keep us from becoming what God created us to be, which means we won’t fulfill our purpose in life.

Fear Is Evil Scheme

Fear is a tool the devil uses against us to make us miserable and destroy our lives. It begins as a thought and then creates emotions that can rule us. It often becomes a strong, intense feeling that tries to move us to make a foolish action or tries to prevent us from doing something that would be good for us. Because it’s such a common way that Satan attacks people’s lives, I think of it as the master spirit he uses to manipulate people and keep them out of God’s will.

Expectation Vs Reality

Expectation is a strong belief that something will happen or be the case in future. Proverbs 23:18 ‘the expectation of the righteous shall not be cut short’. Meanwhile, reality means the state of things as they actually exist and we can see.

Now, let’s dive in.

Fear is Satan’s Destructive Power

Fear is oppression. It brings sin and destroys good things. But there is no fear in love. God’s love brings healing, deliverance, safety and blessings! As a believer, you know that you’re the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus.

man with his hands cover his face in fear

What does this mean? Jesus shed his blood so we can exchange our unrighteousness for his righteousness.  2 Corinthians 5:21. We have been made His righteousness, the very righteousness of God himself. When we are established in his righteousness, walking in his commandments of love then His perfect love in us begins to cast out all fear – 1 John 4:18

Satan is a terrorist, his weapon again the believer is fear. Isaiah 54:14 ‘In righteousness shall thou be established, you shall be far from oppression, for you shall not be fear and from terror, for it shall not come near you’

5 Types of Fear

  • Fear of failure
  • Of the unknown
  • When you fear success
  • Fear of the past
  • Being afraid of your past

20 Most Common Fear

  1. Anxiety
  2. Concerns
  3. Despair
  4. Dismay
  5. Doubt
  6. Dread
  7. Horror
  8. Jitters
  9. Panic
  10. Sacre
  11. Terror
  12. Uneasiness
  13. Worry
  14. Agitation
  15. Misgiving
  16. Distress
  17. Easily Trembling
  18. Corwardice
  19. Phobia
  20. Faint in the heart

Why Do We Fear?

We fear because we yield to Satan’s suggestions. You see, fear is the opposite of faith. They both are in opposite directions. God wants us to walk by faith but Satan wants us to walk by fear. For we walk by faith and not by sight – 2 Corinthians 5:7. When we learn to live by faith and not let fear rule our life, we can live a successful and peaceful life in Christ.

Causes of Fear

I will say the main cause of fear is the absence of faith. Looking at the example of what happened in Mark 4:35-41 That day when evening came, he said to his disciples, “Let us go over to the other side.” 36 Leaving the crowd behind, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat. There were also other boats with him. 37 A furious squall came up, and the waves broke over the boat, so that it was nearly swamped. 38 Jesus was in the stern, sleeping on a cushion. The disciples woke him and said to him, “Teacher, don’t you care if we drown?”39 He got up, rebuked the wind and said to the waves, “Quiet! Be still!” Then the wind died down and it was completely calm. 40 He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?

Jesus asked the disciples why they are in fear. Do they still have faith? That is it. When you don’t have faith in God fear is inevitable. The antidote to fear therefore is faith!

Effects of Fear

Generally, fear is not healthy for your spirit, soul and body. Please see the following effects of fear:

  1. Fear brings torment – 1 John 4:18
  2. Living in fear has serious health consequences: a study from Earl. E Bakken Center for Spirituality and Healing reveals that fear has four effects which affects physical health, memory issues, brain processing and reactivity and mental health.

3 Things To Remember When Facing Fear

A deeper meditation on Psalm 23 will open your eyes to some three things to remember when facing fear. Verse 4: ‘Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me’.

two hands lifts to heaven of fear not

1. You Are Not Alone, God is With You

The presence of God in your life stops all fear. Stop focusing on your fear, what’s scaring you, and focus on Jesus. He is with you right now and will never leave nor forsake you. . When you get your focus off of your fear, you can focus on God and what he wants to do through you.

You may not be able to see him, but he is there saying to you, ‘do not fear’.Valleys are different for a believer than a non-believer. That difference isn’t the absence of the shadow. It’s the presence of the Shepherd. God’s presence with you during fear makes the situation workout in your favour in the end.

2. God Has Purpose For Everything In Life

Fear is an indication of an issue that is not pleasant with us. But most of the time, God always has a purpose in every situation we find ourselves. This is why we must not give in to fear. Psalm 23 tells us over and over God works for our good.

He gives us everything we need (v. 1), gives us rest (v. 2), gives us strength (v. 3), and leads us down the right path (v. 3). Psalm 23:6 says, “Your goodness and love will be with me all my life” (GNT). The consistent message of Scripture is that God cannot do evil. As we go through valley situations, we need to remember that God will use these difficult days for our good. Therefore, always say to yourself ‘no fear here’

He Can Work Through Your Fear

Furthermore, we must know that God loves to take the difficult times of our lives and use them to build our character. Paul tells us this in Romans 5:3-4: “We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation” (NLT).Hosea 2:15 says, ““I will transform the Valley of Trouble into a gateway of hope!” (NLT). God will do this through today’s valley as well. He will work it out for your good! As believers, we can be absolutely certain that there is a purpose in our pain.

3. Fear or No Fear, Our Reward Will Last Forever

When in fear, the third thing we need to remember is that no matter what happens to our earthly bodies, this is not the end of the story. Heaven will be worth any valley we go through today. There we will be rewarded for our faithfulness during our time on earth.

The Bible says heaven is real—and we’ll be there forever. No valley, no matter how long it seems now, will last near that long. So, do not fear a thing!2 Corinthians 4:17 says, “We have small troubles for a while now, but they are helping us gain an eternal glory that is much greater than the troubles” (NCV). I don’t know what fear keeps you up at night. Maybe you’re scared of getting sick.

God Will Work Good Out Of Your Situation

Maybe you’re scared of someone you love getting sick. Maybe you’re scared you’ll have to close your business or loose your job. However, I do know God will work good out of this situation. I know the valley won’t last. A word of encouragement; please take some time to soak in and meditate on Psalm 23 sometime today. It is one of my powerful daily scripture declaration every day

We’ll walk through this valley together as we look at it in light of eternity. Revelation 21:4 tells us: [God] will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain. All these things are gone forever” (NLT).

This is not the end of the story.

About Faith: 13 Things You May Not Know

About Faith – It is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not yet seen. That is the popular definition of faith we all grow up to know. As profound as the topic about faith is, there are still some things you my not have known about it. In this post we will look at just about that.

Here we go:

1. Faith Works By Love

Do you know that love is a major attribute through which your faith can be so effective? When talking about faith, love is a critical factor. Walking in love with others will help your relationship with God also. There is nothing you can say about faith that will make sense to the unbeliever when love is not in it. ‘For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision avails any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which works by love’ – Galatians 5:6

2. Faith Will Never Work In An Unforgiving Heart

Another thing about faith you may not have known is that if you have people in your heart who have hurt you and you have not forgiven them, your faith will not work. Not forgiving blocks everything about faith and makes it completely ineffective in your life. Please choose to forgive so that you will not hinder your blessings. You may want to think and remember anyone you are still keeping in your heart who may have wronged you.

3. Faith Without Words will Not Work

With your words thou shall be justified. Words are the carrier of the power of faith. In fact, faith filled words are potent weapon available for every believer to use against every obstacle. Not just words but words of God in the mouth of a believer will scatter every opposition and cause victory and favor. You can rule your world through the words of God in you mouth at every challenging times.

God spoke the worlds into existence, he spoke them. Words are powerful. Psalm 33:6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, their starry host by the breath of his mouth. Words are the creative force of everything we can see, words are the creator and God spoke everything into existence. Everything also responds to words and about faith, it works when applied with spoken words of God

4. About Faith – What You Believe Is What You Will Receive

It is so amazing to know that our God is not a magician. He works in principles. There are faith principles that God Himself will not violate. Can you boast about faith like the two blind men in Matthew 9:27-34 ‘As Jesus left the house, he was followed by two blind men crying out, “Mercy, Son of David! Mercy on us!” When Jesus got home, the blind men went in with him. Jesus said to them, “Do you really believe I can do this?” They said, “Why, yes, Master!” He touched their eyes and said, “Become what you believe.” It happened’.

5. God is Not In Control, You’re In Control!

More about faith; often times, we shift our responsibilities to God. Whereas God has given us His children enough control over all His creatures. The heaven, even the heavens, are the Lord’s; But the earth He has given to the children of men- Psalm 115:16. Take control of your situation, God is waiting on you to do something about faith that He has given you.

6. Every Believer Has A Full Measure of Faith

You don’t have to beg God to give you faith. One thing about faith again is that you already have the full measure of faith – 2 Peter 2 :1. All you have to do about faith is to develop yourself to grow in it. Furthermore, about faith – you are already full of it. Quit asking God for more faith but start by using your faith in little things and you can then grow it to bigger issues. One thing about faith is that the more you use it the more it gets better and better.

hand on a bible

7. About Faith Is Now!

Most often than not we always say ‘in 25 years times I will finish paying my mortgage, in 15 years I should able to save for my retirement’. These are some of the common beliefs of God’s children but when you have faith in God your faith works in the now. About faith – it does not work with time. God has time under His control and what you can do is to declare by faith all you want, according to the will of God they will happen. God controls time and seasons, time is subject to faith

8. You Don’t Get Faith By Praying About Faith

Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God. Funny enough, many people pray about faith. They want to have more of it. They pray and fast for God to give them faith. God is a God of principles and He will not break His words. When you listen to words of God you will be strong in faith. The more of the word of God you have the more faith you have. However, the less of the word of God you hear the more of unbelief will grow in you.

9. Faith Without Action is Fake

When you think about faith as a spiritual magic and you think things work automatically on faith alone, you may be wrong. Faith without works is dead – James 3:14-26. Somebody said show me your faith with works and I will see great things about faith in your situation. But anyone who folds their hands without taking any action on their faith are only waiting in vain.

10. About Faith – Your Thought Life Matters

How often do you think about faith? What you think regularly about can say much about faith you confess. If you think depressing thoughts you will grow in unbelief. But when you think possibilities you will live to achieve your dreams through God.

11. Faith Is The Key To Everything, Learn More About Faith

Without faith it is impossible to please God. This issue about faith sometimes makes me evaluate my stand with God. I know that when I abide in the Lord, obey and trust Him I am living a life that is pleasing unto Him. Abraham believed God and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

‘And the Scripture was fulfilled that says, y“Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a zfriend of God – James 2:23

12. Wrong Expectation About Faith Brings Wrong Results

What do you do about faith when there is a wrong foundation? Wrong thoughts about faith will not bring the right result. If you think because you have faith in God you can live carelessly and will not obey the Lord or you live in sin, I tell you; grace cannot abide when you are in sin. Your obedience to God is your good works that can tell much about faith to the people of the world. Remember, Abraham believed God and it was imputed unto him for righteousnessGenesis 15:6

13. You Can See Things Before You See Them

One thing about faith is that you can see things with your eyes of the spirit before you see them in the physical reality. People who are carnal, trusting only things they can see, touch, smell or feel cannot achieve more progress in their lifetime. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal2 Corinthians 4:18

All About Faith

Just look at the heavens and the wonderful creatures of God, they all say of the magnificence of our God. There are more things about faith we will know more and more as we commit to studying the word of God and living by faith through believing the word.

You will do well and achieve greater result when your faith in God can tell of how great the Lord is. Rise up today and show forth the glory of God. The world is waiting for your testimony!

The ABC of Ruling In Life

God is a God of principles, one of the tools you can use to rule your world is the word of God. Now, lets look at

A. Abiding in The Vine

In John 15, Jesus reveals to us just how important abiding in Him truly is. In fact, He considered it such a critical matter that He spoke to His disciples strongly about it just before He went to the cross. Therefore, we should pay careful attention to the words He said:

I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.

Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.

B. Believing And Pleasing The Father

There is nothing that pleases the father more than abiding in the vine. Because as you experience a relationship with Jesus by abiding in Him , you will desire to have more of God. This then makes you want to believe Him more and please Him more. In Genesis 18:19 God said of Abraham ‘For I know that he will command his children and his household after him and they shall keep the way of the Lord, to do justice and judgement, that the Lord may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

We Must Do Our Part

We have a part to play and God had His part. Abraham’s part was to cooperate with the Lord. If Abraham didn’t do that, if he didn’t obey what God told him to do, God couldn’t have fulfilled His promise to Abraham to make him rule and be a father of many nations, even though that was His will.

Our part is to believe and to walk pleasing before Him – to think His thoughts and speak His words and walk in His ways.

C – Confidence In The Holy Spirit

1 John 4.4 – ‘Ye have of God little children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world’

Confidence in the Holy Spirit is key, in order for us to rule in life, enjoy real day-to-day, moment-by-moment victory. We must develop a deeper faith in the Greater One who is living within us. We must cultivate an awesome appreciation for the indwelling Holy Spirit

Final Thoughts About God’s Word

You can reach your destination of ruling in life. It is your responsibility to understand the role God’s word plays. I encourage you today to be firmly rooted and grounded in God’s word, no matter what the situation looks like. Make a decision to trust God’s promises. And your life will be headed directly to the ruling dynasty that God has pre-ordained for you to live.

Developing Strong Faith in God

Simply, a strong faith is laying hold on the unrealities of hope and bringing them into the realm of reality. It is believing what you have not yet received, believing and acting in confidence that you already have it. That’s exactly what faith is. Strong faith works by acting on the word of God. Weak faith does not

Faith can be deeply defined through the lines of Hebrews 11, ‘where it says ‘Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen’. You will notice two important phrases here:

  • ‘Substance of things’: a way to show that you have that thing
  • ‘Evidence of things’: proof that you have that thing

Faith is about things. What are you believing for? Developing strong faith in God can help you get it delivered to your hands in good time

What is Strong Faith in God?

Faith is the parent force of everything that can be seen on this planet with the physical eyes. It is the substance or the evidence or proof of things not yet seen with the natural eye, something not yet revealed in the physical realm. The thing is already there but you have not seen it yet. Trust and strong faith in God makes the unseen things real!

God is the almighty being. The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom. Gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak – Isaiah 40.28. He also have the following credentials:

  • Totally dependable
  • Absolutely reliablePsalm 46.1
  • Faithful and trust worthy
  • He is the ultimate creator. He made everything. In whom we live and move and have our being – Acts 17:28

Faith is Not…

There are many things we think we know about faith which we are not really knowledgeable. In order for us to go from faith to faith we must know that:

  • Faith is not works
  • It is not hope
  • Again, faith is not waiting on God to do everything and you fold your hands, that is weak and not a strong faith in God.

Developing Strong Faith As A Christian

Strong faith is trusting God with the details of your life even when we are not sure of how things will turn out. It is believing and trusting God despite contrary evidences. Look at the example of Abraham in Romans 4:18-22 to illustrate a case study of developing strong faith in God.

Against All Hope

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, “So shall your offspring be. Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead—since he was about a hundred years old—and that Sarah’s womb was also dead

Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. This is why “it was credited to him as righteousness.”

Abraham trained himself to develop strong faith in God because his situation can obviously be determined by such.

What Does Bible Say About Strong Faith In God?

The bible has a lot to say about faith and how we can develop strong faith in our strong God. Trusting God for provisions, healing, deliverance, victory, favor, restoration, salvation and much more are stories of strong faith as practically displayed

Careful analysis of Hebrews 11:1 shows us that Faith is the confirmation, the title deed of the things we hope for being the proof of things we do not see and the conviction in our heart of the reality of those things in our lives. Faith perceives as real fact what is not revealed to the 5 sense of sight, taste, vision, hearing and touch.

A good bible verse for healing like Isaiah 53:5 is a way to declare scriptures daily over that health situation and command healing of a loved one or for yourself. The same is true for finance, legal battles and so on.

Types of Faith

  • Little faith
  • Big faith

6 Attributes of Strong Faith

  1. Faith works by love
  2. It is the currency of heaven
  3. Prevails over fear, doubt and unbelief
  4. Faith opens the door for God to intervene in human affairs
  5. Faith is a spiritual force

Why You Need Strong Faith

  1. To obtain a good report – Hebrews 11:2
  2. Please God – Hebrews 11:5-6
  3. To receive strength to conceive the promises of God – Hebrews 11.11

3 Components of Strong Faith

  1. Hope: Hope is the blueprint of faith, it is not wishing;
  2. Love: Galatians 5.6. Remember, faith without works is dead. Show your works of love by walking love. Faith will not work in an unforgiving heart!
  3. Word: Words are the containers to release faith. God’s word spoken in faith from the mouth of a believer releases spiritual power that dominates the laws of sin and death and produces the substance of faith that can now be seen and touched

How To Keep Your Faith Strong Without Wavering

A weak faith will be exploited and overpowered by the devil. God is not the one who will help you to keep you faith strong, it is your own responsibility to keep your faith strong.

  • Don’t look at Natural Circumstances, you have strong faith to Overcome! – 2 Corinthians 4:18

When you wake up each morning, you can get a bible verse of the day and other powerful resources to develop a strong faith in God. You

The Difference Between Faith and Hope

Hope is the earnest expectation and waiting on something that will happen in the future. Don’t ever stop hoping! You see, people who quit hoping have a miserable life – Romans 5:5

Remember what David said in his own time of discouragement: ‘why hath thou cast down oh my soul? Why hath thou disquieted within me? Hope thou in God for I shall yet praise Him for the help of His countenance’ – Psalm 42:5

God Is A God Of Good Things

God is a God of good things and miracles and He can do anything if you only hope in Him. Stir up your hope and expect good things in your life beginning from today!

Faith on the other side is the substance of that thing that you are waiting for in the future.

‘Now, faith is…..

Seeing The Unseen By Faith

I know this may sound weird to see the unseen. You can see the unseen only with your eyes of faith. A strong faith is a linking force that translates the unseen into the seen. Awesome, isn’t that? Faith transmits things from the unseen realm to our hands in the seen realm.

How To Get Strong Faith

Through the entrance of God’s word you can strengthen your faith.

It is what you do with your faith that you already have that will determine if it will grow or not. This is what now brings us to the answer of ‘how to get faith’.

God upholds all things by the WORD of His power? It’s faith power. Faith is the name of the creative spiritual force of God and it is produced in the born-again human heart by hearing the WORD of God. The singular way to get or grow in your faith is by continually hearing the word of God and without ceasing.

10 Ways To Keep Your Faith Strong – Ephesians 6:10-18

  1. Make sure you take up the whole amour of God
  2. Stand your ground and be firm against the lies of the enemy
  3. Determine to be truthful to yourself and others at all times by the help of the holy spirit
  4. Have on your breastplate of righteousness always
  5. Share the gospel of peace, be a living witness to the power of God in any way you can
  6. Hold on your shield of faith, keep on believing, feed your faith and starve your fear
  7. Take the helmet of salvation with you everywhere you go, be a good example of Christ
  8. Use your sword of the spirit daily, this is the word of God in your eyes and in your mouth
  9. Pray always in the spirit, take time in the day to pray in the Holy Spirit build up yourself
  10. Be your brother’s keeper, intercede for those whom the Holy Spirit may lay on your heart

My Final Words on Faith

I will say Hebrews 11.1 is a chapter you may want to really read through. It is all about the people of God who dared to believe His promises. The sixth verse says ‘ without faith it is impossible to walk with God and to please Him, for whoever comes to God must necessarily believe that God exists and that He rewards those who earnestly and diligently seek Him’.

We know the devil tries to convince us that the heroes of faith we read about were special people and that we don’t have the kind of faith they did. If we renew our minds with God’s word we can be as strong as they are. We all have been given a degree or measure of faith to do anything God calls us to do.

You are special to God, I am special to God, we are all special to God. It is not in His nature to show partiality, giving faith to some and not to others but it depends on our response to His love.

Each and everyone of us have been equipped to do what we need to do in this life. Abraham did believe and it was counted unto righteousness unto him, we too can.

Never give up! Your breakthrough is on its way, can’t you see it with your eyes of faith? Keep believing, keep the faith!

Next Steps

Jesus Christ is the author and the finisher of our faith – Hebrews 12:2 A life in Him is the guarantee for a strong faith. You can give your heart to God today and rededicate your life by this short prayer:

Lord Jesus, I come to you just as I am. I confess that I am sinner and ask for your forgiveness today. Please save my soul and write my name in the book of life.

Thank you Lord!
